Day 1 of the 30 Day Challenege is basically a welcome video from Ed Dale in which he describes a bit about what the program contains and how things will work. We’ll take things one lesson at a time, getting things done before moving on to the next day’s assignment.
In a second video, Ed goes over what he calls the “Magnificent Symphony in Four Parts” which is basically:
1. MARKET REASEARCH - The most crucial part. 95% of people’s mistakes are made here.
2. TRAFFIC - If we don’t have traffic, we can’t sell anything!
3. CONVERSION - How many people buy when they come to your site?
4. PRODUCT - Once people are converting, create a product to sell them.
Then there is a video from Karl about procrastination:
Mindset - Beating Procrastination
This video is about breaking down the things you are procrastinating. Why are you procrastinating? What is causing you to? Are the things you are procrastinating about deserving of procrastination? Look at things you think are too big to conquer and ask yourself why. Break them down and conquer them. JUST DO IT!
Assignment for Day 1 is to come up with 7 areas of interest I want to analyze on Day 2 and beyond.

I’m going to be following along with the 30 Day Challenge this year. It’s a 30 day “course” put together by Ed Dale and some of his compadre’s which is geared toward helping followers make their first dollar (or ten) online. While I’ve already made a few hundred bucks, I think it will be a good opportunity to go over the basics of starting and maintaining an online business.
The best part is ITS FREE! It starts today, so I will be documenting the process each day. Look for another post soon.

So after a few setbacks, I’m back in action. Got a poll rolling today and am actually getting some clicks and leads. I invested in Keyword Elite and it makes keyword research a LOT easier. Check it out if you need to produce lots of keywords and don’t want to waste your time brainstorming. This tool does it for you. It has helped me a lot.

So I launched my first campaign. It was a simple poll and I used $50 in free Adwords $$ that I got from my web host. After spending about $25 of it and getting about 155 clicks on my poll, I saw that the offer I was linking to was getting no clicks. I had used the wrong referral link. I was wasting money.
I fixed the link and now have about 300 clicks to my offer. However, apparently no one entered their e-mail address. So I’ve spent $55 and made $0. Back to the drawing board.

The first thing I did after deciding to dive into Affiliate Marketing was join PPC-Coach.
PPC-Coach is a group of full time affiliate marketers. Their specialty is pay per click marketing using Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing (formerly Overture) and MSN Adcenter. Basically, PPC-Coach is a site that will show you how to make the most money you can using the most effective methods. There are no pictures of mansions and fancy cars. Its about information.
The video section is very informative and “Coach” waks you through how to get things setup to be on your way in no time. There are several tools provided to members only and I do believe the tools themselves will more than pay for the membership.
Which brings me to cost…The cost is $50/month. This may seem like a lot to some, but judging by the folks posting in the forums, they’ve more than made back their monthly fees using the tips and tricks outlined for them on the site.
Each month, a member gains access to a new month’s board on the forum. Each month contains a new method of making money by ppc marketing. I am excited to get started with the Month 1 method as it has been roving successful for others.
I’m not one to advertise bogus services. But being a member for only a few days, I’ve already seen how tremendously helpful the site owners as well as other members have been to eachother. The forum is proving to be an invaluable resource. I’m really excited to get started.
More on that coming soon!

PPC Marketing
To begin my journey, I’ll be focusing on Affiliate Marketing, particularly PPC Marketing.
PPC (Pay Per Click) Marketing is an Internet advertising model used on search engines, advertising networks and content websites, such as blogs, where advertisers only pay when a user actually clicks on an advertisement to visit the advertisers’ website. With search engines, advertisers typically bid on keyword phrases relevant to their target market. When a user types a keyword query matching an advertiser’s keyword list, or views a webpage with relevant content, the advertisements may be displayed.
So basically, I will be attempting to get people to sign up or purchase products using ads in search engines. I pill pay to have my ads shown, and for every person who signs up/purchases the product, I will receive commissions. I know, sounds like a pyramid scheme or something similar. It appears to be a legit way to make money and several folks are making a decent living doing it. Its all about being creative. Check out some other blogs from folks making good money doing this:
